Welcome to RSDN!
| | A community organization promoting Swing dancing in the Rochester area, RSDN is dedicated to fostering an open and vibrant dance community. We offer dances with live music provided by premier bands, classes in swing and other social dances taught by Richard Newman & Esther Brill, workshops with world-renowned teachers, and ongoing record hops. Our events are informal and fun, beginners and all ages are welcome, and you don't need to come with a partner. |

| OLDER NEWS! Dancers "Dance & Demo" |

Thanks to Gary Barber for organizing, and all the dancers who came out Dec 12 for the "Dance 'n Demo" event at the Hurlbut Nursing Home - 8 couples, the largest group we've brought to one of these events. Gary: "It's so rewarding to see the residents' faces when we 'dance' with them, even if it's just moving their hands back & forth... We spent more time 'dancing' and talking with the residents than we did dancing amongst ourselves. I've never seen more wheelchairs spinning in double outside turns and more interactions with the residents than ever before. It's a great group, and I'm proud to be associated with them."
